George Christenhusz the founder of Plumbers Supreme Ltd started as a Plumbing Contractor in 1955. From these humble beginnings grew a family business. In 1973 his son Robert joined the business and five years later his other son Michael followed him. Now this established business employs 15 staff and at any one time they employ at least one apprentice as a commitment to the industry and the protection of standards of excellence.

 

In 1994 the company moved to their new premise's in Constable Street Newtown, allowing them to incorporate into the building a gas appliance showroom. PSL Gaslink Appliances as it is known has displays of Cooking, Hot Water and Home Heating appliances. Some of the displays are also working models.

 

In 1997 to further the Company's commitment and skills within the gas industry Plumbers Supreme Ltd purchased the Gas servicing business from Transalta. This gas servicing section of the company has become known as 0800 Gaslink and covers the area from Lower Hutt to Upper Hutt and across to Porirua and back to Tawa. This therefore allows Plumbers Supreme Ltd to offer a more comprehensive service to their customers as they now cover the entire Greater Wellington area.

 

Plumbers Supreme Ltd is a member of the Wellington Master Plumbers and Gasfitters Association, so home owners can be assured of top-quality work backed by the Association guarantee. As part of being members of the Association Plumbers Supreme Ltd is committed to upskilling its staff in areas which not only affect their job but also the work of others. Some of these are: Tradesperson electrical licenses, Independent Qualified Person (IQP) for any backflow prevention system, Basic Life Support.
